Obituary for Lena Dunard Hartley (1892-1968)

Mrs. Lena Maryann HARTLEY of Troy, passed away Wednesday evening, June 19, in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Bill RUNKLES. She had been in their home where they had cared for her since February.
Funeral services for Mrs. HARTLEY were held Saturday afternoon, June 22, at 2 o'clock from the Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert TURNER, pastor of the Troy Baptist Church, in charge. E.A. SIEVERT and Mrs. L.I. DUFFY sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery.
Mrs. HARTLEY was born Feb. 20, 1892 in the Lynn's Mill Community of Lincoln County. She was the daughter of Charlie and Nonie COX DUNARD.  She was married to John Thomas HARTLEY, who preceded her in death.
Surviving Mrs. Hartley are four daughters, Mrs. Jessie STONE, of Fulton, Mrs. Jane SAMAGIEGO, of the state of California, Mrs. Lily Mae RUNKLES and Miss Erma HARTLEY, both of Troy, eight grandsons, several great-grandchildren, one brother, Jesse DUNARD, of St. Louis, and two sisters, Miss Goldie DUNARD, of Fulton, and Mrs. Sylvia PHILLIPS, of Bowling Green. Mrs. HARTLEY was 76 years of age.
