Roy DUCKETT, age 72 of Silex, Mo., passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 19, 1982 in Oakville, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, Feb. 22, 1982, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy. The Rev. Larry DONELSON was minister. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Danny KELLY, Lynn HUNN, Jerry DUCKETT, Randy DUVEL, William DUCKETT and Hank BLECHLE.

Mr. DUCKETT was born at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Nov. 6, 1909, the son of Thomas Van and Anna Lizy WILLIAMS DUCKETT. He was married first to Marie LATTRACE. Nov. 10, 1961, he was married to the former Ethel HINZE.

He is survived by his wife of their residence near Silex, and the following children: Mrs. Edward (Mary Helen) KELLY of Winfield, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy Marie) BIRKHEAD of Troy, Mrs. Richard (Evelyn Ann) HUNN of St. Ann, Mrs. Thomas (Shirley Jean) DUVEL of Troy, Roy DUCKETT, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Winfield, William DUCKETT and his wife, Margaret of Oakville and Mrs. Henry (Louise Josephine) BLECHLE of Arnold, Mo.; three step-children: Mrs. Jerry (Sharon May) ROTHERMEL of Hawaii, Dale Fredrick McDONALD and his wife Debbie of Fredricktown, and Melba EATON of Orlando, Florida; 27 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray DUCKETT of St. Ann; two sisters; Mrs. Marie LATTRACE of Jennings and Mrs. Earl (Florine) WILLHITE of Troy, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. DUCKETT was a retired Template filer with McDonnel Douglas Aircraft Corp. and was a member of the Machinest Union, Local 837. He was also a member of the Sugar Creek Corn Club.
