Obituary for Mrs. Francis B. Dryden (d.1925)
Uncited clipping from the papers of Mary Hutt Walker .

Mrs. Frances B. DRYDEN, daughter of Graham and Elizabeth MASSIE, was born in Farquar Co., Va. Apr. 7, 1838.  She came with her parents to Missouri in 1856, settling on a farm about 4 miles south of New Hope, this county, where she resided till her marriage to Jno. L. H. DRYDEN, Oct. 6, 1859.
After residing in Pa. and Va. a few years, they returned to Mo., and in March 1867, moved to the place of her residence till her passing away on Sep. 20, 1925, aged 87 years, 5 months, and 13 days.
To this union were born 10 children, only 5 of whom survive as follows:
Mr. Jennie (N.C. ) KEITHLEY, of Steelville, Mo., Handy B. with whom she made her home, Mrs. Ruth HARLOW, Stephenville, Tx., Mrs. Alice TAYLOR and Mrs. Lucy TAYLOR of Briscoe, Mo.
Mrs. DRYDEN professed a saving faith in her Saviour in young womanhood, and with her husband united with the congregation at ASBURY, remaining faithful members until death.
There are left to mourn the passing of this "mother of Israel" 16 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. W. R. ANDERSON of California, besides a host of friends and neighbors who will so miss "Aunt Frank" as she was commonly called.
Her passing takes from us one of the mothers and grandmothers of Lincoln Co. and a pioneer who "lies down to pleasant dreams."
Funeral Services were held at ASBURY Church Sep. 22, conducted by Rev. O. A. GORDON and the body laid to rest beside that of her husband
