MRS. SALLIE DODSON

Mrs. Sallie DODSON departed this life Oct. 29, 1905. Her maiden name was Sarah F. STALLARD and she was married twice, the first time to Thomas WALLACE in 1858, to which union were born two sons. Mr. died in 1963, and ten years later she was married to Jonathan DODSON, and two sons were born of this union. Her four sons and six grandchildren will greatly miss "Granny," as they called her, especially the two youngest sons, who were there to do anything they could do for the comfort of their mother. She never attached herself to any church but just before the final summons came she expressed a desire to go home and said she would not regret going to go was it not for leaving her boys. She was greatly loved by all who knew her and especially by those who knew her best. She had three sisters and a host of friends to mourn for her, but we hope our loss is her eternal gain. We realize of a truth that she cannot return to us, but may God help us to live such lives that when we are called away we may be able to say we are ready and are going home to rest, where there will be no more parting. She was laid to rest in the Stallard graveyard.
