Rites Wednesday for Mrs. DeRoy

ELSBERRY, Mo.—Funeral services for Mrs. Delora (Dodie) DeRoy, 42, will be held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. from the Baptist Church in St. Charles. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the H. C. Dallmeyer Funeral Home, 801 North Second Street in St. Charles.

Mrs. DeRoy, a former Elsberry resident, died at 1 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Albert Waldvogel, in St. Charles, following a long illness.

She was born Nov. 26, 1924, the daughter of Joseph W. and Bertha Ellen Dameron Rogers. She was married to Floyd DeRoy who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by nine children, Douglas, who is serving with the U. S. Army at Ft. Scott; Roger, Pamela Kay, Mary Beth, Jo Ellen, Danny Gene, David Paul, Jeffrey Lynn and Randy, all of the family home; six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Algermissen of Cottleville, Mrs. Dana (Sarah Ellen) Blackwell of Eolia, Mrs. Vernon (Beulah) Vierling of St. Ann; Mrs. Albert (Berniece) Waldvogel of St. Charles, Mrs. Jim (Ida Frances) Sanders of near St. Charles, and Mrs. Joseph Allen of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, Raymond Rogers of St. Charles, Vernon Rogers of Elsberry, Elmer Rogers of Winfield, and Warren Rogers of O’Fallon, Mo., and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Floyd, and a brother, Malcolm.


Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Floyd DeRoy

Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd (Delora) DeRoy, 42, of Foristell were held Nov. 8th from the Baptist Church in St. Charles. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. DeRoy, a former Elsberry resident, died Monday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Albert Waldvogel in St. Charles, after a long illness.

Survivors besides her husband are nine children, Warren Douglas who is in the U.S. Army and stationed at Ft. Scott, Ohio, and Roger Craig, Pamela Kay, Jo Ellen, Mary Beth, Randall Dean, Danny Gene, David Paul and Jeffrey Lynn of the home; six sisters; Mrs. Ben (Myrtle) Algermissen of Cottleville, Mrs. Dana (Sarah) Blackwell of Eolia, Mrs. Vernon (Beuhal) Vierling of St. Ann, Mrs. Albert (Bernice) Waldvogel of St. Charles, Mrs. M. C. (Josephine) Allen of Amarillo, Tex., Mrs. James (Frances) Sanders of St. Charles; four brothers, Raymond Rogers of St. Charles, Vernon Rogers of Elsberry, Elmer Rogers of Winfield and Warren Rogers of O’Fallon; nieces and nephews.
