Robert Dameron

Elsberry, Mo.-Funeral services for Noah Robert Dameron, 78, will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday from the Elsberry Methodist Church. The Rev. Wayne Van Gieson will officiate with burial in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be: Junior Lovelace, Junior Watts, Robert Watts, Irvin Riffle, Mike Briscoe and Glenn Bobeen.

Friends may call at the Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

Mr. Dameron died at 7 P.M., Thursday in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks.

He was born December 7, 1890 in Lincoln County, a son of Abraham E. and Laura Jane Robinson Dameron. On March 22, 1917 he was married to Minnie Lawson who survives. Mr. Dameron has been a farmer all his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Norman (Bud) Dameron of Troy; 6 daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Terry of Florissant, Mrs. Milford (Alma) Richards of Elsberry, Mrs. Estol (Laura) Emerick and Mrs. Warren (Jeane) Rogers both of O'Fallon, Mrs. Howard (Dona) Thurmon and Mrs. Delbert (Evelyn) Pollard both of Troy; 20 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Dave Dameron of Silex, and Arthur Dameron of St. Louis, a sister, Mrs. Henry (Nola) Simmons of Silex and other relatives.


Contributor’s Note: Minnie Lee (Lawson) Damron’s obituary states her husband died January 2, 1969. In her obituary the surname is spelled Damron, but in Robert’s obituary above, the surname is spelled Dameron. DAMRON is how the surname is spelled on the tombstone.
