Lillian M. Damron

 

HANNIBAL, Mo.—Mrs. Lillian M. Damron, 80, of Levering Regional Health Care Center, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 24, 1996) in the center.

 

Born Nov. 28, 1915, in Middletown, Mrs. Damron was a daughter of George Washington and Pearl Estella Renner Alexander.  She married Daniel J. Damron July 14, 1934 in Hannibal.  He died Aug. 5, 1995.

 

Mrs. Damron was a retired machine operator at Crown Shoe Co. in Palmyra.  She was a member of Hydesburg Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include three sons, Daniel J. Damron of Mineola, Texas, Jack R. Damron of Kansas City, Kan., and Gary L. Damron of Hannibal; two daugthers, Glenda McVeigh of Terre Haute, Ind., and Janet K. Janes of Hannibal; two sisters, Hazel Ransdell and Helen Estes, both of Hannibal; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Damron was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

 

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the O’Donnell Funeral Home by the Rev. Margie McDaniel Woods.  Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park.

 

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Memorials may be made to Hydesburg Methodist Church.
