Passing of Ed Damron. 

Columbus Edward Damron, son of the late Robert and Nancy Damron, passed away June 17, 1948.   He was born October 16, 1867 near New Hope and at an early age became a member of the Smith Chapel Methodist church where he remained a life-time member. 

On October 17, 1889 he was married to Rosalie Briscoe and of this union four children were born. 

He is survived by his wife; four children, Earnest,  of Dodge City, Kansas, Mrs. Carrie Drum, of Modesto, California, William, of Hannibal, and Edward of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one brother, Abraham, of Whiteside; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Waggoner, of Elsberry; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
