Elizabeth Mae Dameron

 

Funeral services for Elizabeth Mae Dameron of Louisiana, Mo., formerly of Elsberry and Paynesville, were held at 2 p.m., May 29, 1999, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Rev. Bart Hildreth, pastor of the Paynesville, Eolia and Bowling Green United Methodist Churches, officiated with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery near Elsberry.  Serving as pallbearers were John Reed, Carl Brune, Sonny Taylor, Richard Dameron, Richard Dawson and Frank Epperson.

 

Mrs. Dameron, 92, died May 28, 1999, at Smith-Barr Nursing Home in Louisiana.  Born August 2, 1906 in Paynesville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Crank Patton.  She was united in marriage on July 24, 1949, in Randolph County, Ark., to David Crank Dameron.  She was a housewife and assisted her husband with farming in northern Lincoln County, for many years.  She was a member of the Paynesville United Methodist Church in Paynesville.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Patton; one sister, Florence Bowles; and her beloved husband of 35 years, David Crank Dameron, who died Oct. 19, 1984.

 

Survivors include two sisters; Dorothy Dawson of Eolia and Edith Elgin of New London; other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation was held from 12 noon until time of the service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

 

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO  63343.
