Funeral services for Vesper Garland CREECH, age 84 of Troy, were held at 1:30 Monday afternoon, Jan. 12, 1981, from the St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Troy. The church pastor, the Rev. Benny WILSEY, was in charge of the services. He was assisted by the Rev. Lester ZACHER. Mrs. Russel PAVELKA was the organist. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery.

Mr. CREECH passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 10, in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Troy, May 18, 1896, the son of William and Sarah CROUCH CREECH. He was married July 23, 1919, to Miss Vecie Lawrence TILLOTSON. Mrs. CREECH passed away in April of 1966.

Mr. CREECH is survived by one son and one daughter, Carl CREECH and Mrs. Albert (Ruth) ZUROWESTE, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Flossie HECHLER.

Mr. CREECH was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War I, and one of the first members of the Troy American Legion Post No. 94. He was a retired farmer.

Funeral arrangements were through the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home of Troy.
