Obituary for Emma Creech (1873-1957)

Mrs. Emma M. CREECH (nee) CALDWELL, daughter of Andy and Jennie MARTIN CALDWELL, was born February 27, 1873, and passed away February 17, 1957.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Virgil CREECH in 1893. To this union four daughters were born: Mrs. Laura YOUNG, of St. Louis, Mrs. Madge WEAST, of Los Angeles, Cal., Oneita CREECH, of St. Louis, and Mrs. Leah WEITKAMP, of Troy.

She leaves to mourn her departure: three daughters; one son-in-law; one grandson, Melvin WEITKAMP, and one granddaughter, Melvin’s wife, Norma.

She also leaves: two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Joe LANGENECKER, of Hawk Point, Mrs. Lawrence CALDWELL, of Troy; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew CREECH, of Hannibal; a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in December, 1950, and her daughter Madge, in August, 1952. She professed her faith in God in her late thirties and remained a devoted Christian until the time of her passing away.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kenneth Brun at the McCoy Funeral Home in Troy, Thursday, February 21. Interment at Anderson Hill Cemetery.
