Former Resident Dies In Illinois

Dollie S. CREECH, 75, of Streator, IL. died Sat., Sep. 30, 1978 in St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, where he had been a patient for a month. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Oct. 3, from Winterrowd Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Ottawa, IL.

Mr. CREECH was born Oct. 7, 1902 in Troy, Mo. to Elmer T. & Jennie HARRELL CREECH. He was married Nov. 29, 1926 in Chicago, IL. to Ruth ENGEL, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jules ( Helen ) MAYER, El Cerrito, Calif.; a son Derwood CREECH of Forestville, Wisc.; nine grandchidren; two sisters, Mrs. Vernon ( Edna ) JACKSON of Troy and Mrs. Marge Darlene LUKENS of Douglas Ariz.; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

He was preceded by his parents and one sister.

In his younger years Mr. CREECH had lived in the Moscow Mills area before going to Gary, Ind. where he resided for many years moving to Streator in 1968. He was employed by the E. J. & E. Railroad for 37 years, prior to his retirement.

Mr. CREECH was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Troy.
