Mrs. Rose COX passed away in the Sunset Retirement Home in Troy early Friday afternoon, July 14, 1974, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. COX were conducted by the Rev. Lester Zacher at 10 o’clock Monday morning, July 15th, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy. Lester Schloemann was the soloist and the organist was Mrs. Arthur Schemmer.

Interment was in the Old Alexandria Cemetery. Casket bearers were Harold CREECH, Gerald CREECH, Dennis COX, Bennett COX, Bennett COX, Randy COX, and Charles THORNHILL.

Mrs. COX, who was seventy-six years of age, was born June 27, 1898 in Lincoln County, Mo., the daughter of David Augusta and Sarah Ellen BROWN. She was married to John Wesley COX in December of 1920. They became the parents of one son, Warren Hicks COX, who survives.

Mr. COX died April 21, 1946. Others who survive are three grandchildren: Roselee AMMAN, Mrs. Frank (Sharon) ARNOLD and Miss Lynda COX; three great-grandchildren: Robbie and Beckie AMMAN and Jennifer MADDOCK; several nieces and nephews; six sisters-in-law: Mrs. Gertie PRESLEY, Mrs. Opal TRAIL, Mrs. Fred (Helen) MEADE, Mrs. Mary COX, Mrs. Opal COX and Mrs. Mildred COX; one brother-in-law, Homer COX and his wife, Laura, and other relatives and many friends.
