Obituary for Thomas Austin Cole (1848-1927)

Thomas Austin COLE, the youngest child of David and Malinda COLE, was born Sept. 24, 1848, and died at his home northeast of Troy, Jan. 13, 1927, aged 78 years, 3 months and 19 days. He had four brothers, William, James, Frank and Chesley, all of whom preceded him in death.

Mr. COLE was married to Miss Emily WHITWORTH, Oct. 19, 1871, and to this union were born two daughters, both of whom died in infancy.

Mr. Thomas COLE and his wife Emily, lived happily together for 55 years, but like others, death has stepped between and they said good-bye until they meet again. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Cole at Old Alexandria Methodist church, and his body was laid to rest in the cemetery there by the side of his daughter.--J. M. Cole
