Funeral services for Mr. Archie Lee COLBERT, age 68 of Troy, will be held Wednesday, April 29, 1987, at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Troy. Officiating will be the Rev. Mary Ellen Meyer. Interment will be in Troy City Cemetery. Mr. COLBERT passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 26, 1987, at Phelps County Memorial Hospital in Rolla, Missouri. He was born October 18, 1918, in Lincoln County, a son of Matt and Martha Ellen COX COLBERT.

Surviving are: his wife, Melba Marie SLAVENS COLBERT of the home, two sisters Lena CALVIN of Troy and Louise ROSE and her husband Charles of St. James, one sister-in-law, Lillian RICKS of Troy, one aunt, Mary COX of Lousiana, mother-in-law, Birtie SLAVENS of Troy and nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, many other relatives, and friends.

Mr. COLBERT was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Virgil COLBERT and a brother-in-law Rileigh CALVIN.

Visitation was held after 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 1987 at the McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home and also today, Wednesday, April 29, 1987, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.

In memory of Mr. Archie COLBERT, contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund or the Emphysema Fund.

The COLBERT family is being served by the McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home of Troy.
