Obituary

Nat. D. CLARK, son of James H. and Katherine WILLIAMS CLARK, was born near Troy, Missouri, January 27, 1886, and died at Barnes Hospital, September 20, 1956, at the age of 70 years 7 months and 23 days.

He was a descendant of early settlers of Lincoln County .

On January 18, 1911, he was united in marriage to Ethel BENNETT, who has been a loving and faithful companion.

For a number of years he had employment with the Public Service Co. and later with the police force of St. Louis. He entered the drug business in 1923 and established the Bennett-Drug Store, with his brother-in-law, George BENNETT, which he owned and operated until 1950.  At that time he sold his interest and retired from active business but contributed his interest with the Gravois Drug Co.

He was a member of the National Association of Retail Druggist. .....

About 10 years ago he bought a farm in Lincoln County near the vicinity of his birth, now known as Clark Acres.

Although his residence was in St. Louis, he thought of this place as home and he and his wife spent many happy days at the farm with relatives and friends.........

He is survived by: his wife; 3 sisters, Mrs. Eleanor ROBINSON, Rochester, Minnesota, Mrs. Myrtle EAST, St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Maggie GROSHONG, Troy, Missouri; 2 brothers , James H., of Hawk Point, Mo. and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, W.D. CLARK, of Warrenton, Mo. in 1954. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
