Funeral services for Frederick William CAPPEL of Moscow Mills were held Monday afternoon, July 5, 1982, from Friedens United Church of Christ, in Moscow Mills. The Rev. Perry Brown was assisted by the church pastor, the Rev. Al Minor. Mrs. Wencker Meyer was the organist.

Interment was in Friedens Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Casket bearers were Ben DREISWERD, Ken EISENBATH, Harry VOEPEL, Harold (Buddy) BERGESCH, Harold HILL and Miller BRAUNGARDT.

Mr. CAPPEL passed away in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Mo., Friday evening, July 2, 1982 at the age of 83 years and 28 days.

He was born July 6, 1899 at Moscow Mills, the son of Antone and Anna OSBERNE CAPPEL. On May 24, 1920, he was married to Miss Helena Caroline WEITKAMP, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons: James CAPPEL and his wife Pearl of St. Louis and Paul CAPPEL and his wife Melba of Troy; three sisters: Lena and her husband Jess HARRELL of Moscow Mills, Edith and her husband Dean HARRELL of Troy and Lucille and her husband Lewis HILL of Hawk Point; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

Mr. CAPPEL farmed in the Moscow Mills community all his working years. He was baptized into the Catholic faith, but in later years, attended the Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills.
