Obituary for Millicent Marie Sofka Bueneman (1923-1976)

            Millicent Marie BUENEMAN was born in St. Louis, Missouri, January 10, 1923, the daughter of John and Anna RICHTER SOFKA.  She passed away in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital Saturday evening, November 27, 1976.  She was 53 years, 10 months and 17 days of age.

            On June 18, 1949 she was united in marriage to Marvin BUENEMAN.  Two daughters were born to this union.

            Preceding Mrs. BUENEMAN in death were her father and her twin sister, Mildred TOBIN who passed away August 29, 1976.

            She is survived by her husband, Marvin, of their residence, their daughters Janice and her husband, Briggs CRAGEN of Wentzville, Missouri, and Karen and her husband, Gary DeANGELIS of St. Charles, Mo.; her mother, Mrs. Anna SOFKA of Troy, one granddaughter, Sara CRAGEN, her mother-in-law, Mrs. Tom BUENEMAN of Troy, her brother Rowland SOFKA and his wife, Helen of St. Louis; her sister Mildred’s husband, William TOBIN of St. Louis, her husband’s brothers and sisters and their husbands and wives: Elihu BUENEMAN and his wife, Mary of Wright City, Ora BUENEMAN and his wife, Helen of Troy, Julius BUENEMAN and his wife, Garnetta of Troy, Alva and her husband, Raymond DOWELL of Bowling Green, Walter BUENEMAN and his wife, Eva of Moscow Mills, Mo., Darline BUENEMAN of St. Louis, Mrs. Mabel SCHOENECK of Jackson, Miss., two aunts, Mrs. Emma RICHTER and Mrs. May RICHTER, both of St. Louis, a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

            Mrs. BUENEMAN was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Troy and was a member of the church choir, the church Couples Club and was also former Sunday school teacher.

            Private services for the immediate family were held at 2 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, November 30th, at the Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home in Troy.  Services at the Zion United Church of Christ in Troy were held at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon conducted by the Pastor, the Rev. Dwight Borden.  Music for the service was by the church choir with Dr. E.F. Brockmann as organist.

            Burial was at the Troy City Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Donald BUENEMAN, Irvin BUENEMAN, Joe SCHOENECK, Pat TOBIN, Bob DUNARD and Don SOWINS.
