            Rose Laverne BRUNING died Monday, Nov. 3, 1986 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, Ill. at the age of 96.

            She was born July 6, 1890 at Moscow Mills, the daughter of Fred and Emma WEITKAMP.  On Nov. 10, 1910, she was married to the late Gustav W. BRUNING, who died Nov. 25, 1968.  They spent much of their married life on a farm north of Foristell and moved to Wright City in 1959.  In 1970, she moved to Highland, Ill.

            She was a charter member of the Union United Methodist Church in Wright City where she remained a member until death.

            She is survived by three sons, Oliver BRUNING of Highland, Ill., Wesley BRUNING of Dayton, Ohio, and Alden BRUNING of Warrenton; three daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence WEITKAMP.

            Funeral services for Mrs. BRUNING were conducted Friday, Nov. 7 at the Union United Methodist Church in Wright City with the Rev. Mark Harvey officiating.  Interment was in the Linn Cemetery in Wentzville.  Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Nieburg-Brown Funeral Home.
