SERVICES FOR J. LUKEN BROWN

Rites for J. Lukin BROWN, 72, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Sep. 6, 1976, at the Silex Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Williams of Williamsburg, officiating. Interment was in Auburn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Warren Wommack, Woodrow Walton, George Dirigo, Lee Welch, John and Edwin Smith.

Mr. BROWN died Sept. 3, at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy. He was born May 25, 1904 at St. Louis, the son of Joseph Abel and Brownie LUKIN BROWN. He was a graduate of Roanoke College, of Roanoke, Va. on Oct. 31, 1934 and was married to Elizabeth Delia SMITH, who survives.

Mr. BROWN was owner and operator of the Brown Drug Co., in Silex. He was a member of Silex Presbyterian Church, member of the Masonic Lodge, 7S AF & AM and a 32 degree Mason.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Virginia ) DYER, O'Fallon and Mrs. John Betty Jean  TULL , of Kansas City, ad seven grandchildren.

Visitation was made at the Mudd Funeral Home in Silex.
