OBITUARY

William Lee BRISCOE, one of eleven of Dollie BARKER and Ephraim BRISCOE, was born near Foley, Missouri, July 14,1907. After completing his education in the schools of Lincoln County he became a miller and worked for several years in Silex.

In January of 1942 he answered the call of his country and served almost five years in the Army. Most of his time was spent in Alaska where he was in charge of the PX on his base with the rank of Sergeant.

On December 1,1945, he was united in marriage to Estelle McNEAL, of Adel, Georgia.

After receiving his honorable discharge from service, Bill and his wife located in St. Louis, Missouri, where he became associated with Maloney Electric Co., as a gas generator operator.

Although he had not been in the best of health, his sudden illness came as quite a shock to his family and friends. Thursday, February 9, , he worked as usual, became ill on Friday. He went to the hospital february 16, soon after-----. He attained the age of .....years 7 months and 2 days.
