Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Anna BERGFELD, of Troy, were held Sunday, Jan 17, 1999, at the Zion United Church of Christ, Troy. Interment was in the Anderson Hill Cemetery in Moscow Mills.

Mrs. BERGFELD, 80, died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy.

The daughter of Nathaniel Henry and Ida Louise (SCHMIDT) BUENEMAN, she was born Oct. 7, 1918, on a farm near Troy. On July 2, 1942, in Troy, she married Fred Henry BERGFELD. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1994.

Also preceding her in death was one brother, William BUENEMAN.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol BERGFELD MILLS, of Baltimore, MD; one son Alan Fred BERGFELD and wife, Alicia, of Wichita, KS; two grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Irene BERGFELD and Annaline BUENEMAN, both of Troy and one brother-in-law, Clay HORNER, of Hugoton, KS.

Mrs. BERGFELD grew up in Troy. When her husband was inducted into the Army Air Force during World War II, she moved to Troy where she was employed with the Missouri Edison Company for many years. She was a gifted writer, having been published by national and local papers since her high school days. She was a member of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau, Lincoln County Historical Society and the Zion United Church of Christ, Troy.
