Obituary for Ellen Beck (1880-1964)

Ellen BECK (nee BUENEMAN) daughter of William and Emilia DUPERT BUENEMAN, was born December 17, 1880 near Troy, MO., and on January 30, 1964, she passed away in Pontiac, Mich., having attained the age of 83 years, one month and 13 days.

On September 15, 1889 (note: should be 1898), she was united in marriage with Michial BECK. To this union, four children were born.

Preceding Mrs. BECK in death were her husband, who passed away in January of 1942, one son Orval, who passed away in March of 1948 and one daughter, Berlie BERGESCH, who passed away in April of 19662 (1962).

Surviving are two daughters: Lora MEYER, of Moscow Mills, and Olive DEARING, of Berkley, Mich.; two sons-in-law: Henry MEYER and Birl DEARING: thirteen grand children, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild: two brothers; Thomas BUENEMAN and Nat BUENEMAN, both of Troy; two sisters, Mrs. Susie SPEILHAGEN, of Troy, and Mrs. Ida EVERSMEYER of Wright City; also four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Thomas BUENEMAN, Mrs. Nat BUENEMAN, Mrs. Robert BROCKHOUSE, of St. Louis; a number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many, many friends.

Until a little over a year ago Mrs. BECK had lived her entire life in the Moscow Mills area. Even when she was in Michigan, she still maintained her home in Moscow Mills.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Moscow Mills and enjoyed worship services.

Mrs. BECK has been surrounded all her life by family and friends. One by one she has seen them go on before her and now she has stepped over into their group to await others of her loved ones, who as long as they live, will cherish their happy memories of her.

Funeral services were conducted in the First Pentecostal Church of Lincoln County by Rev. Walter GUINN, assisted by the Rev. Eddie GUINN. Music was furnished by members of the congregation.

Interment was in the Troy city cemetery.
