Pauline Barnes 

TROY—Services for life-long Lincoln County resident Pauline Barnes, 83, of Elsberry and formerly of Troy, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCoy & Blossom Chapel in Troy.  The Rev. Clay Boley will officiate.  Burial will be in Old Alexandria Cemetery in Old Alexandria. 

Mrs. Barnes died at 6: 13 p.m. Feb. 19, 1989, in Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy. 

She was born June 22, 1905, near Elsberry to James D. and Ida E. Davis Damron. 

She was married to Everett L. Barnes on May 8, 1920, in Troy.  He died May 18, 1953. 

Survivors include two daughters, Hazel Gladney of Troy and Doris Gibson of Troy; one sister, Dorothy Triplett of Elsberry ; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. 

She was a long-time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Elsberry. 

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Pauline Barnes 

Services for Mrs. Pauline Barnes of Elsberry were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (today) in the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home in Troy.  The Rev. Clay Boley, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church, officiated with burial in the Old Alexandria Cemetery. 

Mrs. Barnes, 83, died Feb. 19, 1989, in Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy. Born June 22, 1905, near Elsberry, she was the daughter of James D. and Ida E. Davis Damron.  On May 8, 1920, she was married in Troy to Everett L. Barnes, who died in 1953.  Mrs. Barnes was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Hazel) Gladney and Mrs. Doris Gibson, both of Troy; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Orval (Dorothy) Triplett of Elsberry.
