Coochie BARNES

ELSBERRY., - Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa (Coochie) BARNES, 83, are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the Ricks Funeral Home, the Rev. Karl Hickman officiating, with burial at the Elsberry City Cemetery.

Visitation is to be after 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. BARNES died Friday at her home in Elsberry. She was born January 12, 1889, daughter of Sam and Willie GLADNEY IRVINE. On October 18, 1914, she married Lloyd Lee BARNES, who died January 29, 1957. She was a member of the Elsberry United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Sammy of Pittsfield, Illinois; one step-son Harry H. BARNES of Roseville, Michigan; three brothers, Charles IRVINE of St. Louis, Harry of Clarksville and Byron of Elsberry; and other relatives.
