Obituary for Velma V. Anderson (1920-1998)

Velma V. ANDERSON, 78, of Moscow Mills, died at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 24, 1998, at St. Joseph's Health Center in Lake Saint Louis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCoy and Blossom Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will be at Friedens Cemetery in Moscow Mills.

Mrs. ANDERSON was born June 3, 1920, in Blytheville, Ark., to Ora and Gertrude HARMON COLLINS.

She was married to Robert D. ANDERSON Sr. on Dec. 31, 1939, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Robert D. ANDERSON Jr. of Foley and Michael E. ANDERSON of Yelm, Wash.; two daughters, Mary KREUGER of Troy and Dorothy DAVIES of Chesterfield; two brothers, Dewey COLLINS of Jefferson City and Ora COLLINS of Fairfield, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. ANDERSON was a homemaker.

Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dick KREUGER, Rick KREUGER, Tom KREUGER, John DAVIES, Trevor DAVIES and Robert ANDERSON.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey COLLINS and Ora COLLINS.
