Obituary for Curtis Clarence Allen (1875-1895)

DIED ------------At 1104 Pendleton avenue, St. Louis o'clock P.M. [sic] Sunday, September 15, 1895 Curtis Clarence ALLEN aged 20 years, 4 ---and 5 days.

------ceased was the second son of Deacon --------C. ALLEN and wife Mrs. Jennie ALLEN. His--------was Lincoln county, where he con---------with his father and mother until -----previous to the end of his short life. He then went to St. Louis and took a postion as a conductor with the Lindell Railway company. This position he held with honor until death removed him. Curtis received his education in the common schools of the county and in the Troy grade school. He was in this grade school three years and was prepared to enter college. Our young friend bore a high moral character, free from the profanity, dissipation and other wayward conduct that obstruct the lives and well-being of many. He was a careful student..........[much is missing].
