            William Thomas ACHOR was born February 1, 1908 at Auburn, Missouri, the son of Harry Lee and Clemma BROYLES ACHOR.  He passed away Saturday, July 3, 1982 at his residence in Troy, Mo.

            He was educated in the Auburn School, and a member of the Presbyterian Church where he was an active member as a youth.  He graduated from Buchanan High School in Troy in 1927.  He later attended the Rolla School of Mines.

            On December 23, 1938 he was married to Patricia Ann SLEET, who survives; also surviving are one son William Patrick, his wife and two granddaughters.

            Bill spent most of his life in some capacity of the oil business.  He lived in Bowling Green, Missouri for thirty-four years, and did a great deal of traveling for the Ayers Oil Company and the Phillips Petroleum Company.  He was a member of the Bowling Green Christian Church, the Lions Club, and the Travelers Association.

            Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 11 from the First Christian Church of Troy, Mo.  Funeral arrangements were through the McCoy-Paul Funeral Home in Troy, Mo.
