Location in GBNF:  Turn on gravel road across from New Liberty Church & Cemetery, follow gravel road to end, which intersects with another gravel road, turn left for approx. 1 mile. Cemetery on left.

Stone Eroded - surname gone.  Could be a Downs or possibly a Colvard - See Nancy L. Colvard - (?)

  This Cemetery has a lot of history connected to it. It is on land homesteaded in the year 1836 by Nicholas Morris & his half Cherokee Indian Wife Rebecca Ann Cummins Morris. They both lived & died here from the colera, as well as one of their sons, no stone for the son.  He was in the army at the time, came home sick and within three days all were dead. Land is still owned by the descendants.
