The Anson family came from Maryland to Kentucky. Descendants of this family 

still live in Kentucky. Francis Anson married his first wife in Logan County, 

Kentucky.  He and Sally O'Neill married in 1805 in Logan County.  Francis later 

went to Missouri.  Here he married his third wife, Susan Parsons Nichols.  

(Nichols was her first husband's name.)  Susan and Francis are both buried in 

this Anson Cemetery.  Oscar George Anson is his grandson . . .



The Anson Cemetery is well kept and easy to get to.  It is 2 miles east of the 

village of Truxton, about 13 miles west of Troy, Lincoln County, Missouri.  

Troy is the county seat of Lincoln County . . .
