This is to certify That Henry MENSE, son of Bernard MENSE and Anna SCHNEPPENBERG and Gertrude RIEKE, daughter of Christopher RIEKE and Anna Marie SCHRODER were lawfully Married on the 6th day of Sept 1859 According to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church and in conforming with the laws of the State of Missouri

Rev. Stephen SCHWERHOFF officiating, in the presence of Henry RIEKE and Anna RIEKE Witnesses, as appears from the Marriage Register of this Church.

This License authorizes any Judge, Justice of the Peace, licensed or ordained Preacher of the Gospel, or other person authorized under the laws of the State, to solemize marriage between Christian MENSE of Lincoln Co. and State of Missouri who is over the age of 21 years, and Miss Wilhelmine DOBELMANN of the City of St. Louis and State of Missouri who is over the age of 18 years.

Witness my hand as Recorder, with the seal of office hereto affixed, at my office in the City of St. Louis, the 30 day of April 1894.

This is to certify that the undersigned, a catholic priest did, in said City and State, on the 1 day of May A.D. 1894 unite in marriage the above named persons.
