Believed to be from a Troy or Lincoln County newspaper.
From the collection of Mary Omahundro Hutt Walker.

Finnerty - Wallace

Never a more beautiful wedding took place than that of Miss Mattie R. WALLACE and Mr. G.L. FINNERTY both of Harmony Grove, which was solemnized at seven o'clock on Wednesday evening, Dec. 20, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. WALLACE, by Rev. J.S. Eames. Miss Ette TERRY acted as bridesmaid and M.L. FINNERTY as best man. Miss Rena Hopkins presided the organ. After the ceremony Rev. Eames led the way to the dining room, where supper had been prepared, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves very much. They were the recipients of many nice and useful presents. Miss Mattie is one of our brightest young ladies. She possesses the womanly virtues that go to make up a blissful and happy home, while Mr. FINNERTY is a prosperous young farmer, polite and courteous, with a high standard of morality. They have the best wishes of a host of friends for a life of prosperity and happiness. May their lives never be marred and their lives be as bright and lasting as the sunlight of heaven ---A Friend
