Callaway - Smith

One of the prettiest weddings of the season was that of Miss Lucille M. SMITH and Wm. A. CALLAWAY, of near Owen, which happy event took place at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening, Dec.27, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.K. SMITH. The sweet solemn words binding their hearts and lives together were pronounced by Rev. C.L. Hess., Mrs. Fred Vopel presiding at the organ. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white china silk trimmed with chiffon and lace, carrying a boquet of white carnations.

After the ceremony, Rev. Hess led the way to the dining room, which was profusely decorated in cedar and holly, where a sumptuous repast had been prepared, to which all did ample justice. They were the recipients of many nice and useful presents. Miss Lucille is one of our brightest and best girls, and to know her is to love her, while Mr. CALLAWAY counts his friends by his acquaintances. They have the best wishes of a host of friends for a life of prosperity and happiness. May God bless their home and make their lives one golden beam of sunshine. ------M.B.

[Transcriber's note:

I took this to be between 1905- 1908 as the other wedding notices on the 2 pages seem to be within those years . j.g.]
