Researcher notes: Sometime after 1851 and before 1855 the Bartlow and Wales family moved from Hancock County, Indiana to Crystal Lake, Hennepin County, Minnesota. William Harrison Bartlow's brother Luther married Emma Wales sister Darcus Serena Wales prior to Minnesota move. William Harrison Bartlow married Emma Lavina (Pearl) Wales in 1855 Minnesota. Emma had 4 brothers William, John Singleton Wales, George Newton Wales, and Samuel Sigler Wales. George and Sam Wales married two Gantt sisters in Minnesota, while John married Amanda Harris while living in Lincoln County, Mo in the 1870s. About 1870 Luther Bartlow and family removed to Nodaway County, Mo., George, Sam, and families removed to Mexico, Audrain County, Mo. (Gantt family pioneer family from Mexico, Mo) William H and Emma to Mexico, Mo. temporarily until locating at Hawk Point, Mo. joining Emma's brother John Wales. William H. Bartlow and Luther M. Bartlow were veterans of the 6th Minnesota regiment Civil War.
