Marriage Announcement for Harriet Snyder Withrow and Harry Mackey Edwards (date unknown)
No. 253 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

Mrs. W.R. YOUNG, at her handsome suburban home on Fair ave. gave an "afternoon" Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m., to a large number of guests. The rooms were beautifully decorated in "red and white" cut flowers, fern and potted plants, all making a charming effect. A novel game "A Love Story" was very spicy and was enjoyed by all. A prize was captured by the witty Mrs. W.S. BRAGG; the consolation was by Miss Kitty WELLS. There was music followed by refreshments, a delicious menu was served. The color scheme was carried out here also in "red and white." Nabisco sandwiches daintily tied in white ribbon were served when out fell "two hearts"-- Harriett Snyder WITHROW, Mr. Harry Mackey EDWARDS, Dec. 26. The "announcement" so cleverly planned came as a surprise. Great merriment followed with "Long live the Bride." Miss WITHROW was bridesmaid a few years ago to the hostess, so Mrs. YOUNG gave the afternoon in her honor as a schoolmate and life long friend.

Mr. EDWARDS is a young business man of Bowling Green, Mo., known for his sterling qualities. The bride- elect is the popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.W. WITHROW of this city, a young lady of many graces and charming personality. She is a favorite in society and will be greatly missed by a host of friends who will wish her "Bon Voyage" on the sea of matrimony.
