No. 251b - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

This gentleman will be in the race next year for County Treasurer and he and his friends are confident of his ability to secure the nomination in the August primary. He has made two races for this office, the first a most creditable one, and four years ago he was a very close second. He has a wide acquaintance in the county and will have loyal friends in all the townships. Remember Mr. TUCKER's candidacy before you make other pledges.

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
