Wedding Announcement of Wiley Jones and Ethel Crume (date unknown)
No. 199 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

Miss Ethel CRUME, while visiting friends in St. Louis last week, stole a march on her friends here, when, last Thursday, she was united in marriage at Clayton, St. Louis county, to Wiley JONES of that city, but formerly of Moscow Mills. This courtship, mostly by correspondence, with casual meetings, had extended over a period of about six years. The groom has a good position with the Halsey Motor Co. of that city and is said to be an excellent young man. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert CRUME of this place and was one of our most winsome and popular young ladies. We join her many friends in wishing them the fullest measure of prosperity and happiness. They are now housekeeping at 4520 Page Boulevard, and will make a visit here in about two weeks.

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
