Marriage of Waldo B. Fischer and Dorothy Birkhead (date unknown)
No. 179 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan BIRKHEAD, near Argentville, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon of December 26, when Miss Dorothy BIRKHEAD and Mr. Waldo B. FISCHER were united in marriage by Rev. O.A. GORDON, of Troy. The attending couple were Miss Mildred BIRKHEAD, sister of the bride, and Roy FISCHER, brother of the groom. Immediately after the ceremony the wedding party was ushered into the dining room, where a bountiful dinner was served. The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. BIRKHEAD, who for the past two years has been employed in the Jones Business College at St. Louis as principal of the Pitman Short Hand Department and assistant bookkeeping teacher. Mr. FISCHER is Secretary-Treasurer of the same college and Professor of Commercial Law.

There were about seventy guests present who presented the happy couple with many beautiful and useful presents. Mrs. and Mrs. FISCHER left Sunday for St. Louis, where they will immediately go to housekeeping. Congratulations and best wishes are extended from many Lincoln county friends.
