Obituary for Sarah Elizabeth Taylor (1847-1912)
No. 136 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

Sarah Elizabeth TAYLOR was born April 8, 1847, died March 10, 1912, aged 64 years, 11 months and 2 days. She was married Dec, 1875, to Richard P. KEITH, who died in 1905. To this union God gave two children, Mrs. James GOODRICH and Mrs. August BERGESCH, both of whom survive her; her life was spent near Brussels with the exception of the last four years, she lived with her daughter, Mrs. GOODRICH, on Sugar Creek.

She united with the Methodist church at Asbury about 45 years ago and lived a consistent Christian life until death. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, a good neighbor, ever thoughtful of those around her; even on her deathbed she thought of others' comfort before her own. Her two daughters, one grandchild, four sisters, one brother, two sons-in-law and a host of friends mourn her loss. Her funeral was preached at Asbury to a host of friends by the writer, then we laid the body to rest in the "city of the dead"
