Obituary for Hattie Murphy (dates unknown, see obituary #97)
No. 097a - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

Miss Hattie MURPHY died at the home of her mother in Louisiana last Monday morning and the body was brought to this city Wednesday and laid to rest in our city cemetery by the side of her father and brother who preceded her to the grave. Miss Hattie lived in this city for many years, in fact most all of her young life was spend [sic] in this city, but for several years past she resided first at Carrollton, Ill., and later at the place where she breathed her last. She was about 21 years of age, was an amiable and intellligent [sic] girl and numbered her friends by legions, all of whom are made sad by her untimely death. She had been ill with consumption for the past two years but never murmured at her condition and always appreciated her friends when they were near her. She united with the C.P. Church in this city when a little girl and lived up to the life she then professed. Mrs. Murphy has the sympathy of all our people in her bereavement.  [see obituary #97]
