Mrs. Anna Heady BOYD daughter of Scott and Rebecca HEADY, was born July 8, 1873, at Wentzville. Most of her life was spent in St. Charles county.

On November 22, 1893, she was married to Alex Fenton BOYD. To this union four children were born: Frances, Rebecca, Fenton and Lillian. Rebecca preceded her mother to the Great Beyond on November 7, 1902.

She was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church, and of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Mrs. BOYD was an ideal mother, queen of her home, and her influence for good did not remain within those walls, but radiated in all directions, touching and affecting her many friends and acquaintances.

Those who survive are: Her husband, three children, seven brothers, two sisters, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Rev. LANGTRY, of Clayton, officiating, and interment made in Linn cemetery.

Those from a distance attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. R.W. HEADY, of Decatur, Ill.; Miss Hattie THURMAN, of Troy; Mrs. Fannie WALKER, of St. Louis, and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill TAYLOR, of Troy.  --Wentzville Union

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
