Morgan Pierce (perhaps c1870s ?)

Morgan PIERCE was born 1823 in Lincoln Co., Missouri where he died on March 13, 1885.  He married Martha Jane HINES (dau of Thomas HINES and Nancy McBRIDE) on Nov. 1, 1846 in Lincoln Co., Missouri.

Morgan and Martha's children: Matilda, John, Flora Ann, M.T. (male), Mary,
Lydia, Vade.

Contributor Notes and Questions:

1.  When was this photograph taken? During what years of the 1800s was this style of shirt and jacket fashionable? At one time, this photograph read "St.Charles" in the bottom left corner.  The family lived in Arkansas between 1860 and 1870. They came back to Lincoln Co. by 1871, as their son Vade was born there in July of that year. Morgan appears too old for the photo to have been taken in the 1850s before they left.

1. Who are the parents of Morgan PIERCE? Morgan is buried on land that once belonged to Daniel PIERCE, Sr. He is not listed as an heir in Daniel's will, but perhaps Daniel could be an Uncle.
